Transmission 1. Hello From The Purple Forest
Everything in this blog is fictional. And yet, nothing here is entirely made up. Characters, events, and settings intertwine imagined and real elements so tightly that neither can stand without the other.
I call my approach Blog Fiction ā a genre where multiple, interwoven settings coexist in a shared, time-bound narrative space.
Iām not here as an author in the usual sense. Sometimes a witness, sometimes a participant, often a forgetful and unreliable narrator, I write from an unusual perspective: that of a dweller in the Purple Wood, a vast and beautiful relict forest spreading across what once was Central Europe. A perspective rooted the memory of wood.
The motifs that unfold touch on meaning and absurd, machine relationships, mythic residues, and the art of misremembering, to name a few.
Paradoxically, this motley, fragmented, chaotic and seemingly unreal space may offer more clarity on certain aspects of what we call the “real world” than any rigorously fact-based essay could. Fiction, here, is not an escape. It’s a lens.
The song that follows tells of the end of a long and dramatic story that will begin unfolding for you now. It’s about the man who solved the puzzle of humanity’s missing DNA strand ā the desire to be. Listen, and feel at least a small spark of the incredible joy filling the universe across time and space.
